Longtime Lovell resident Peggy Rohrer passed away on April 14, 2021, following a courageous, gritty and determined four-year battle with cancer.

Peggy was born May 28, 1948, in Powell, the oldest child of Gerald and Dorothy Brinkerhoff. The family lived in Lovell, Worland and North Dakota before permanently settling in Lovell.

This call comes with a huge bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has been wanting to see for a long time. LaVerne Sessions Thatch, 90 years young, was called home in the early morning hours on April 18, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Gary Marvin Hess, devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at the Village at Valley View in Ashland, Oregon, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. He was 81 years old.

Karen Black peacefully passed away the afternoon of April 10, 2021. She was born in Cody on Feb. 3, 1948, to Jesse and Jenny Moore. She was the youngest of two brothers and a sister.

Karen was a beloved wife, grandmother and friend to many. She had a positive impact on the world, and she will be greatly missed and will always be loved.

Irvin Fletcher Davis died March 31, 2021, in Greeley, Colo., with his family by his side. Irvin (Tyke) was born May 6, 1960, at the South Big Horn County Hospital in Basin, Wyo., to Andrew Irvin Davis and Ruth Catherine (Trina) Hunter. 

Growing up on his family ranch in Shell, Wyo., instilled in Irvin an appreciation for the simple joys of agriculture, reading, family and friends. Plenty of fun and shenanigans were mixed into his early life. Irvin was a fiercely loyal friend to a few and kind to everyone.  He graduated from Greybull High School in 1978 and worked at Red Canyon Ranch. He was also employed by Brasel and Sims Construction running heavy equipment. Irvin embraced life.

Dorothy Virginia Jones was born on Feb. 16, 1934, in Cody, Wyo., to Alfred Leslie Allen and Della Berniece O’Mara. She is the oldest of six children. She has three sisters, Betty, Sunny and Beverly, and two brothers, Leslie and Lee. She also has two half-brothers, Brad and Troy.

Charles (Butch) Doyle Rimer was born March 21, 1940, to Charles (Bunk) Rimer and Ruby (Frieling) Rimer in Greybull, Wyo. He passed on March 27, 2021, due to a long-term illness of pulmonary fibrosis and congestive heart failure.
