Dan Miller’s Cowboy Music Revue, which has been entertaining audiences in Wyoming and around the country for 20 years, will perform Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at the Basin City Arts Center.
Back in 2005, Dan Miller, a seasoned entertainer, award-winning television host and rodeo commentator,  took a chance that visitors to one of the premiere gateways to Yellowstone National Park would appreciate quality western music, humor, and poetry.

Evelyn, Henry most popular baby names of 2023

Evelyn won the competition for the number one female name among Wyoming’s new babies in 2023, with Henry topping the race among male names, according to Vital Statistics Services (VSS), part of the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH).
For girl newborns in Wyoming for 2023, Evelyn led Amelia, Olivia, Harper, Charlotte, Hazel, Eleanor, Lainey, Oakley and Aurora to round out the top ten on the list.

One Health lands $260k grant to buy ultrasound equipment

The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust has granted $260,199.00 to One Health to purchase point-of-care ultrasound machines as part of a statewide ultrasound initiative across Wyoming.
The initiative includes nearly $13.9 million to help Wyoming hospitals and health centers purchase ultrasound imaging devices and boost sonography and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) training opportunities across the state.

UW Extention class helps you design outdoor space

The University of Wyoming Extension office will offer two free Design Your Outdoor Space classes with expert Jenny Thompson, the Small Acreage Outreach Coordinator for the University of Wyoming Extension. The 90-minute classes will be held on Friday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lovell Library and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Greybull Library.

Camping complaint in Bighorns nets felony

POWELL (WNE) -- What started as a complaint about illegal camping in the Bighorn Mountains last year recently resulted in a felony conviction.
On July 22, the Bighorn National Forest fielded a report about a group camping in a day use area near Sibley Lake, in Sheridan County. When U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer Jeremy Mack responded, he reportedly found several people “behind a ‘No Camping Here’ sign.” One was 31-year-old Nathan T. Gossens of Billings.

April 22 — 10:30 a.m.: Deputies assisted the general public at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office in Basin.
10:33 a.m.: Deputies on Highway 20 South in Basin responded to two found sheep.
11:28 a.m.: On Highway 31 in Manderson, deputies initiated a traffic stop. A warning was issued.
11:53 a.m.: Deputies initiated a business check at Maverik Country Store on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
11:56 a.m.: Deputies on Lane 39 in Basin initiated field contact at South Big Horn County Landfill.
